My wife Judie, and I have always been interested in photography. When our children were young, we did our best to capture family vacations and natural areas like Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon.
Not until our kids were grown and digital photography had matured did we have time to really cultivate our photography hobby. In 2009, we joined the Arlington Camera Club and took advantage of their varied programs, competitions, and field trips. Joining that club helped me go beyond being a “snapshot photographer”. Since that time, I’ve won many club awards as well as several awards in Chicago Area Camera Club (CACCA) competitions.
Today, I enjoy taking hikes along trails and finding images all around me. Many of these are happy accidents and that’s what makes it fun. I never know what I’m going to find.
