It’s almost scary to think I’ve been a professional photographer for 44 years. I still feel like a kid in so many respects. My joy of photography has only increased over the years. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that I still have so much more to learn… Ill most certainly always be a student of photography and of life.
Today I’d have to describe myself as a digital artist creating exciting images never before possible with film.
While fine portraiture has been my mainstay, it’s been exciting to branch out into other areas such as nature, aerial photography, painting with light and portrait painting.
Photography has awarded me a very nice living and during earlier years, many accolades and awards both locally and nationally have come my way. But a few years ago I took all my awards, plaques, and trophies to the dumpster (photo on my website) because they didn’t mean that much to me, and also represented the past when I wanted focus on the present and future.
