I was formally trained in the fine arts with an MFA in sculpture and a minor in painting. My career path, however, was as a commercial sculptor and later a product designer. During my career, photography was a way to showcase a product rather than create an interesting photo. Now that I am retired, I have a renewed interest in creating fine art and am showcasing my sculptures and paintings in shows and galleries. Similarly, I find photography to be a way to capture a mood, unique composition, or moment of beauty.
